In essence, they both focus on the negative consequences that much impact college students who heavily consume alcohol. College students who involve in binge alcohol drinking are exposed to serious injuries, sexual abuse as well as death.

According to them, most drinking begins in colleges due to influence from their peers or simply because of too much freedom they have when they are away from their parents. In my opinion, increases the cost of alcohol can be one of the effective ways of reducing binge drinking in colleges, this can be achieved by imposing heavy taxes or limiting the number of stores that get a license to sell alcohol. In addition, increasing the legal drinking age from eighteen can be a useful tool (Perkins, 2002). I suggest that more research should be done on college binge drinking to come up with effective strategies of prevention. Lack of research from psychologists and medical personnel, my cause difficulties in identifying and implementing methods of addressing alcohol problems in colleges.

Besides, raising the cost and restricting the sale of alcohol can reduce college binge drinking to some level. Overally, prevention programming, educational efforts, and inclusive policies regarding binge alcohol consumption in colleges should be increased to solve this problem.
